The Piano Parties in the Royal Concertgebouw, Amsterdam (to be moved: date to follow)
Every year there is a party in the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. The Piano Festivals will also come to the prestigious concert hall in the capital in 2020. This year, as exclusive dealer of Bösendorfer in the Netherlands and Belgium, Bol Piano's & Vleugels will again supply the top grand pianos for the concert series.
During the Piano Festival, Bösendorfer grand pianos will be played exclusively; the favorite of young pianist Martin Oei, who is also present again in this edition of the Piano Festival. Previous editions Martin has played with Martyn van den Hoek and with the recently deceased master pianist Daniël Wayenberg. On May 3, 2020 he will play together with Klára Würtz.
The dates this year are:

Beethoven experts Leo Samama and Walter Heijder talk about the Beethoven phenomenon. He wrote brilliant music that has withstood the test of time. As a human being, however, according to his biographers, he could be downright rude, quarrelsome and very short-tempered. Before the break, composer and musicologist Leo Samama explains what people thought about the Beethoven riddle in the nineteenth and twentieth centuries. Walter Heijder adds surprising psychological insights from the twenty-first century. Pianist Martin Oei provides the musical interludes with the performance of Beethoven's two complete sonatas; “Der Sturm” and the “Pathétique”
TOM & JERRY IN THE GARDEN OF DELIGHTS

Pianist Martin Oei asked the young filmmakers from Amsterdam-Southeast to create images to accompany Liszt's music. The result? A performance for young and old with unexpected combinations of images and compositions by Franz Liszt: the “Dante” sonata with the triptych the “Garden of Earthly Delights” by Hieronymus Bosch. As a counterpart to the 'serious work', Martin Oei will play the Second Hungarian Rhapsody live to the famous and hilarious cartoon The Cat Concerto with Tom and Jerry from 1947.
